ABOUT US
DEFINITION
Calgary Carvers Club is a social carving club for people who have all types of wood carving interests. The club is comprised of those individuals who enjoy creative artistic pursuits with other like-minded individuals.
AIM
- To be engaged in a hobby, comprising men and women, which can then lead to substantial skill improvement, additional technical knowledge, and practical experience in the wood carving field.
- Personal stress relief from the pressures of daily life.
- Personal artistic fulfillment and improvement, (the ultimate aim).
MISSION STATEMENT
TO PROVIDE CALGARY CARVERS CLUB MEMBERS WITH AN ENVIRONMENT THAT IS AFFORDABLE AND BASED ON COMMON INTERESTS, COMRADSHIP AND MUTUAL RESPECT IN A LEARNING AND SKILL ENHANCING ENVIRONMENT.
GENERAL PROGRAM
- Beginning and Novice carvers: Calgary Carvers Club DOES NOT SELL CARVING COURSES. We will recommend several carving venues in Calgary, who do supply carving courses of varying skill levels.
- After taking a course and joining our club you can practice your skills and also be coached and mentored by the membership should you wish.
SPECIAL INTEREST EVENTS
Calgary Carvers offer special presentations throughout the Winter and Fall seasons;
These special interest events are held at least once per month, (whenever possible), to include the following:
- Carving tools, and power tool companies
- Wood carving supply companies
- Visiting wood carvers from out of Province clubs
Guests who are local and independent wood carvers, and other wood carving related presenters

- SPRING SESSION WIND-UP PARTY
- BBQ Dinner for Members and Guests (professionally catered)
- Carving Show ’N Tell of carving projects in progress
- Ice-breaker fun & games
